Geely eyes customer programmes with new Lynk & Co 03

Geely Group Motorsport says it is keen to see the new Lynk & Co 03 involved in competition across the world after the covers came off the latest car built to TCR regulations.

The Lynk & Co 03 TCR has been in development since early 2018 and features a two-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 350 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque.

Three of the cars will compete in the WTCR next season in the hands of Cyan Racing, with further interest expected from customers keen to run the cars in both regional and national series’ around the globe.

“This is a first and important step for the newly formed Geely Group Motorsport,” head of Geely Group Motorsport, Alexander Murdzevski Schedvin said.

“We will offer the all-new and agile Lynk & Co 03 model as a race car to customer teams in international and national series throughout the world in strong competition against other global automotive brands.”

As per the TCR cost cap, the Lynk & Co 03 TCR will be priced at €130,000, with the first cars being delivered in the new year.
