Walkinshaw Andretti United retain enduro line-up

Walkinshaw Andretti United has announced that both Warren Luff and Jack Perkins will remain with the team for the Enduro Cup races in the 2019 Supercars Championship season.

Luff will extend his relationship with Scott Pye into a third year as the pair look to better their back-to-back second place finishes at Bathurst.

The 42-year-old has an impressive record of having finished on the podium in the Great Race five times in the last seven seasons and said he was pleased to confirm his return alongside Pye for another year.

“It’s fantastic to be back with the team, and with Scott,” he said. “Working with Scotty these last two years has really enjoyable, we got along really well, and have very similar styles and feedback, so it’s a great match.

“To stand on the Bathurst podium the last two years alongside Scott has been amazing, but we desperately want to go one step higher this year.

“The team as a whole made some really strong gains last year, and I have no doubt that will continue into 2019. I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel already.”

Perkins meanwhile will partner Courtney for a fifth year, with the pair having enjoyed their most successful results on the Gold Coast – taking victory in 2015 and a podium finish last year.

“It’s awesome for me to be back with JC and the whole Mobil 1 MEGA Racing team for another year,” he said. “There’s a real buzz around the workshop and everyone is super keen to get racing this year.

“The new colours look great and the whole team has had a bit of a face lift with MEGA coming onboard alongside Mobil 1 – everything looks cool!

“I think the team will only get better from last season, with the second year of the ZB Holden Commodore I’m sure both cars will be pushing for podiums week in week out.

“Bathurst is the big one for us this year, after the heartbreaking DNF there last year, I can’t wait for October.”
