Tim Blanchard Racing re-sign Macauley Jones for 2020

Tim Blanchard Racing has re-signed Macauley Jones for the 2020 Supercars Championship season.

“Over the past year I’ve learned a lot and it’s crucial to have that second season to be able to implement everything and be a bit more on the front foot,” said Jones to supercars.com.

“I’m very thankful to CoolDrive for this opportunity and helping me get to where I am. I’m really looking forward to the year ahead.”

The 25-year-old is currently placed 22nd overall in his first ever Supercars season, with 15th position at Gold Coast as his best result so far.

“Macauley has had a tough initial year, but we’re keen to keep the relationship with BJR (Brad Jones Racing) going and give him every chance to take the next step,” said team owner Tim Blanchard.

“We know the first year is always really tough, I’ve been through that myself, and I think it’d be unfair to not give him the opportunity to improve on what he’s learnt from his rookie year.”

Brad Jones Racing, of which Tim Blanchard Racing is a satellite team, is according to supercars.com planning to expand to four cars for the 2020 season but is yet to confirm its complete line-up.
