Audi continues development work on new RS 3 LMS

Audi has continued with development work on the new RS 3 LMS after further testing of the car in both Italy and Spain.

The car enjoyed its first test at Castellolí last month with Frédéric Vervisch, who has since gone on to complete further running in the car alongside Nathanaël Berthon.

A three-day run at Vallelunga saw Audi able to run through suspension and tyre work in wet conditions after early rain, with the changeable conditions that followed offering the chance to continue with set-up work.

Work in the test that followed at Aragon was then focused on differential, damper and the aerodynamic work, with both short and long runs on track to gain as much information as possible.

“We already gained a positive impression of our new car at Castellolí,” Dr. Andrea Milocco, project manager for the Audi RS 3 LMS, said. “This continued at Vallelunga and Aragon.

“In total, we’ve reeled off almost 3,000 kilometres with our absolutely reliable car to date and established a good basis for our development tests. It’s also positive that our two drivers are united in their feedback and complement each other well. Now we’re moving step by step through our further programme.”
