Santiago Concepción makes Honda return

Santiago Concepción will make a return to Honda machinery for the latest rounds of the TCR Europe season in Hungary after making the switch to Squadra Martino.

The Spaniard had spent the past two seasons at the wheel of a Civic Type R before agreeing a deal to join forces with AIKOA Racing for the 2026 campaign.

At the wheel of an Audi RS 3 LMS, Concepción scored a best result of ninth in the opening race of the season at Mugello to sit 14th in the standings, two places ahead of now former team-mate Giacomo Prandelli.

Concepción’s decision to move over to Squadra Martino to partner Tiago Pernía means AIKOA will run a single car for Prandelli this weekend.

A further change to the grid in Hungary will be the addition of local racer János Czik, who will drive a Hyundai i30 N TCR for the Speed Technika team.
