Luke Youlden to continue in third Sydney meeting

Kelly Grove Racing has confirmed that Luke Youlden will continue to drive the #26 Ford Mustang this weekend in the third meeting at Sydney Motor Sport Park.

Youlden was drafted in for last weekend’s meetings to replace David Reynolds after he was sidelined for failing to meet COVID-19 vaccination requirements.

On what was his first solo outing in the series, the 2017 Bathurst winner scored a best finish of eleventh in the wet final race, and will now continue in the car again this weekend to gain further track time ahead of his run alongside Reynolds in the season finale at Bathurst.

“I’m stoked to be back driving the car again this weekend,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to building on the experience from last weekend and taking it into the next round. We had some pretty good results in tricky circumstances, I hope to push on and get in the mix of that top ten.”
