Anton De Pasquale wins again at Sydney Motorsport Park

Anton De Pasquale made it two wins from two Supercars Championship races so far this weekend at Sydney Motorsport Park.

The Dick Johnson Racing driver started from pole got under pressure from team-mate Will Davison during the opening lap.

The duo remained close for the first part of the race, with Davison managing to get past during the first pit stop.

De Pasquale then made the move stick for the lead on lap 20.

Davison instead had to look in his review mirrors as Jamie Whincup, Chaz Mostert and Shane van Gisbergen closed in on him.

Whincup got alongside Davison with just a few laps remaining, also allowing Tickford Racing driver to get past to snatch third place.

And things went from bad to worse for Davison who then found himself in the crosshairs of van Gisbergen, getting past the Ford Mustang driver with just two laps left of the race.

Van Gisbergen then challenged Mostert for third in a drag race to the finishing line, snatching third place with a margin of just 0.01 seconds.

De Pasquale won the race by six seconds over Whincup, with van Gisbergen in third and Mostert fourth. Davison and Mark Winterbottom rounded off the top six.

The third and final race of the weekend starts at 16:45/06:45 CET.
