Ten dates set for TCR South America season

Organisers of the TCR South America series have released further information on the calendar for the 2023 season, with confirmation of ten race meetings spread across three countries.

Although no circuits have yet been confirmed, the announcement of race dates reveals that initial plans to run twelve meetings have now been revised, with only two endurance events as opposed to the four that were originally mooted.

The season will kick off with three events in Argentina, the first two of which will be sprint meetings before the first endurance weekend of the campaign.

The second endurance event in Brazil then follows as round four of the campaign, and will double up as the opening round of the new TCR Brazil championship.

Two sprint meetings in Uruguay will take place in the middle of summer, the first of which is also part of the TCR Brazil schedule, before a return to Argentina for round seven.

Three meetings in Brazil then round out the campaign and will all be part of the Brazilian series, with the penultimate weekend of the year being a double meeting for the national championship to make up a six round calendar.
