Niels Langeveld inherits Race 1 win from Franco Girolami after flurry of penalties

Niels Langeveld inherited the Monza Race 1 victory from Franco Girolami following a flurry of penalties from the TCR Italy stewards.

A total of ten penalties were handed out after the race, including a five-second penalty for points leader Girolami for over taking Ruben Volt under yellow flags.

The penalty dropped Girolami from first to ninth.

Volt was also handed a penalty for overtaking Girolami when cutting the first chicane, dropping him from second to tenth.

Marco Pellegrini (10 seconds for hitting Junesung Park)
Paolo Rocca (10 seconds for hitting Marco Butti)
Luigi Gallo (25 seconds for jumping the start)
Fabio Casagrande (6 place grid penalty for hitting Gallo)
Giovanni Scamardi (5 seconds for overtaking during safety car)
Federico Paolino (10 seconds for hitting Raffaele Guerrieri)
Dousan Kouril Jr (10 place grid penalty for hitting Cesare Brusa)
Rodolfo Massaro (10 seconds for hitting Nello Nataloni)

The updated result means that Langeveld won the race ahead of Felici Jelmini and Butti.
