Andrew Watson paces second Silverstone practice
Andrew Watson pipped team-mate Aron Taylor-Smith as Power Maxed Racing led the way in the second practice ahead of the penultimate meeting of the BTCC season.
Jake Hill had paced the early stages of the session but was shuffled back in the closing stages with Watson eventually grabbing top spot by just under a tenth of a second from his Vauxhall team-mate.
Tom Ingram would emerge as best of the rest in third spot having also left it late to snare the best time in his Hyundai, with Hill ending up in fourth.
Ronan Pearson continued to impress as he set the fifth quickest time ahead of Colin Turkington’s BMW, with the top eight being rounded out by Mikey Doble and Dan Cammish.
Further down the order, Ash Sutton found himself in 21st place despite his best lap being only six tenths of a second off the pace.
