Thiago Vivacqua confirmed for full season with Cobra Racing Team

Thiago Vivacqua will drive full TCR South America and TCR Brazil season this year for Cobra Racing.

“I am very excited. It will be a new adventure for me, front-wheel drive cars will be something new, although I have already done a race at Interlagos with the same model,” said Vivacqua.

The 27-year-old, who comes from a background of single seaters and GT, made his TCR South America debut at Interlagos last year for Cobra Racing Team, finishing ninth.

And the Brazilian will race the same Toyota Corolla GR-Sport TCR that he raced last year.

“I see my entry in TCR as a great opportunity for me, it is a concept that is growing both in Brazil and on the continent and also has global visibility,” said Vivacqua.

“The championship also allows the possibility of competing in the FIA TCR World Tour, opening a range of possibilities within the concept. I thank all the sponsors for the opportunity to race this year.”
