TCR South America to kick off at Interlagos

The new TCR South America and TCR Brazil seasons kick off this weekend at Interlagos with a field of at least 15 cars set to contest the endurance event.

The only endurance race of the season will run to a unique format with a race split into two 40 minute sections, with a 20 minute neutralised break in the middle.

TCR South America champion Ignacio Montenegro will return from Europe for the race to partner Juan Manuel Casella in a Squadra Martino Honda, whilst TCR Brazil title winner Galid Osman is teamed with Felipe Lapenna in his Cupra as they aim to repeat the win from last season.

Rafael Reis is another fancied runner for the new campaign and will be joined by Lucas Foresti for the opening meeting

Other guest drivers at round one include 2023 TCR Spain champion Enrique Bordás alongside Fabián Yannantuoni in a Paladini-run Toyota, as well as Brazilian star Carlos Bueno in a Peugeot 308 run by PMO Racing.
