Jacopo Cimenes continues TCR Italy programme with MM Motorsport
Jacopo Cimenes will be back on the TCR Italy grid this season, racing the same Honda Civic Type R TCR FL5 as last year for MM Motorsport.
“I want to try to be a regular guest in the top five,” said Cimenes.
The 19-year-old finished 12th overall last year and second in the rookie championship.
Cimenes made his TCR debut last year and also took part in the FIA TCR World Tour round at Vallelunga.
“Last year we literally had our baptism of fire, it was a great experience that gave us a good jolt for the whole season,” said Cimenes.
“Being able to compete with the best in the world is the fastest way to learn, also because in the TCR Italy the level is decidedly high.”
Double touring car world champion Gabriele Tarquini will continue to work together with Cimenes as a coach throughout the 2025 season.
“Gabriele is an exceptional person, he has an innate ability to convey his feelings and make you see details that you would never have thought,” said Cimenes.
“Thanks also to his help and the work of the MM Motorsport technicians, I want to try to be a regular guest in the top five this year. Or at least have the chance to fight in every race for a place in the top of the standings.”
