Will Brown “disappointed” to only get one FIA TCR World Tour outing

Reigning Supercars Champion Will Brown impressed on his FIA TCR World Tour return at Zhuzhou, clinching two top-five finishes and mixed it among the championship front-runners.

“It was an awesome weekend to be back at HMO Customer Racing,” said Brown.

“When team owner Barry Morcom offered me the chance to fill-in for Josh and race in China, I definitely couldn’t turn that down and great to be back in the TCR World Tour and race against the factory teams.”

The Hyundai driver put on a show in the final race where he passed works BRC Hyundai drivers Norbert Michelisz and Néstor Girolami with daring moves to finish fourth.

“I wish I got a better start. I started fourth, dropped back to seventh, passed a few cars, had a lot of fun and got back to fourth,” said Brown.

“But I felt like we should have got a podium today.”

The 2019 TCR Australia champion made his TCR World Tour debut two years ago at Sydney Motorsport Park where he claimed two victories.

“Disappointing it’s my only go this year in World TCR, but I had a blast,” said Brown.

Brown is currently placed fifth overall in the 2025 Supercars Championship for Triple Eight Race Engineering.
