Second win for Ciekiewicz in feature race

Dave Ciekiewicz took his second win of the season in a single weekend, with a duplication of yesterdays podium in the Super Touring Class at Mosport.

Ciekiewicz started from pole, and held off the BMW 328i of Gregory Pootmans for the whole 20 laps.

“It was pretty much identical to yesterday. I would get a little gap on the straight, but [Pootmans] was all over my butt in 5a, 5b and knocked me around a couple of times, but I was able to get out of 5b usually pretty good and pulled a gap, so it was a good race. I’m just happy to gap the points and move a little bit closer in the overall championship lead,” said Ciekiewicz.

In Touring Class, Tom Kwok was able to get past the Mazda Protege of Saturday’s race winner Langeveldt, whilst championship leader Anthony Rapone rounded out the podium.

The season finale takes place in two weeks at the circuit ICAR in Québec.
