West Surrey Racing launch their new BMW

West Surrey Racing have launched their new car in Richmond with which Rob Collard, Colin Turkington and Nick Foster will compete with in the 2013 British Touring Car Championship.

The car is the first new car the team have built since 2001, when they developed the MG-ZS to BTC-specification for Anthony Reid and Warren Hughes. WSR have run the BMW 320si, developed by BMW Motorsport, in the BTCC since 2007, taking the Championship title in 2009 with Colin Turkington.

After having a Next Generation Touring Car (NGTC) engine buit for the 320si last season by Neil Brown Engines (who also supply engines to the Honda BTCC and Audi DTM teams), the team make the move to a full NGTC specification car this year with the BMW 125i.

The team will continue to run under the eBay Motors banner for 2013, whom have supported them for the past two seasons in both the BTCC and WTCC.
