Scott McLaughlin: ”We can’t afford any more bad weekends”

Scott McLaughlin has not got the start to the 2015 V8 Supercars season he wanted. The Volvo Polestar Racing driver has been hit by penalties, technical issues and mistakes in the first two race weekends of 2015.
”We can’t really afford any bad more weekends. The competition is the toughest it has ever been and guys like Courtney and Whincup aren’t going to falter,” said McLaughlin.

The Kiwi heads to Tasmania this weekend and is keen to get back into the fight for the top spots of the championship.
”This is a pretty strong track for the Volvo. For us it needs to be a strong weekend to build on and get back into the championship hunt,” said McLaughlin.

McLaughlin is currently 18th in the championship and is already 165 points behind championship leader James Courtney. But the Volvo driver is nonetheless optimistic ahead of this weekend and the rest of the season.
”I can definitely see us having a good weekend and getting the championship back on track,” said McLaughlin.
