David Reynolds moves from Prodrive Racing to Erebus Motorsport

David Reynolds has signed for Erebus Motorsport ahead of the 2016 V8 Supercars as Prodrive Racing Australia announced he would not remain with the group for next season.

“Although I have had a terrific four years at PRA, I am looking forward to a positive change as the lead driver with Erebus. I am really looking forward to working with the Erebus team. Together we have some amazing strengths that we need to harness, I know we can win together,” said Reynolds.

The 30-year-old takes over the seat from Will Davison at Erebus who has left the team for Tekno Autosports.

“David is an exciting driver that has proven himself to be a title threat this year. As we embark on our fourth season we needed to sign a driver that’s capable of positioning our cars up the front and David has proven he is capable of doing that. I have known David for almost 10 years and knew one day I would have him drive for me,” said Betty Klimenko, owner of Erebus Motorsport.

Reynolds will continue to drive the #55 Ford Falcon for Rod Nash Racing/PRA in the remaining races of the 2015 season.

“We have been discussing next season with Dave and as we were not yet in a position to confirm if we will have a place for him, he asked to be allowed to explore the possibility of driving for another team in 2016,” said Rod Nash, team principal of RNR.

Cameron Waters, who currently stands in for the injured Chaz Mostert, is according to the official championship site expected to take over Reynolds’ seat next season at Prodrive Racing Australia.
