Tim Slade joins Brad Jones Racing for 2016 V8 Supercars

Tim Slade has been confirmed to replace Fabian Coulthard at Brad Jones Racing for the 2016 V8 Supercars season.

“I’m super excited to join the team next year and really looking forward to it. It is a great opportunity. The immediate focus is to finish this year off as strongly as possible and do my best for Supercheap and Walkinshaw Racing. With only the final round left, I want to do the best I can for those guys,” said Slade.

Slade is currently racing for Walkinshaw Racing, placed 15th in the drivers’ championship with one victory this season at Barbagallo Raceway.

“I am really excited as we feel Tim has untapped potential; which BJR have a history of uncorking with drivers. I think his talent combined with our crew will make for a really great 2016. Tim is going to be a great addition to the team, he has all the attributes that we look for in a driver in terms of speed and commitment,” said Brad Jones, team owner.

Coulthard has left the team ahead of 2016 to join DJR Team Penske.
