Two penalised at Donington Park

Two drivers were penalised by officials during race day for the second round of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Donington Park.

Matt Simpson was given penalties for three separate incidents on track, whilst there was also a warning for race two winner Rob Collard.

The full list is as follows:

Race one:

Matt Simpson – Official reprimand and two penalty points for an incident with Rob Austin
Matt Simpson – Official reprimand and two penalty points for an incident with Dan Welch
Rob Collard – Verbal warning for gaining an unfair advantage by putting his car on the grass at the start

Race two:

Matt Simpson – Verbal warning for an incident with Kelvin Fletcher. As a third strike, Matt was sent to the rear of the grid for race three and also deducted three championship points
