David Reynolds excluded from Sandown 500

The Erebus Motorsport duo of David Reynolds and Craig Baird have been excluded from the Sandown 500 race.

The exclusion came as Baird did not complete the mandatory 54 co-driver laps in today’s 500 kilometre race.

“Following and investigation and admission by Car #90, David Reynolds that he breached Rule D8.4.6.2 (Driver, David Reynolds, failing to achieve total effective resting time equal to at least one third of the total scheduled race distance), the Stewards imposed a penalty of Exclusion from Race 20,” read a statement from the V8 Supercars stewards.

The team stated that the rule breach was due to miscommunication, with Baird pitting earlier than planned.
