Fabian Coulthard takes second straight DJR Team Penske win

Fabian Coulthard took the second straight double victory for DJR Team Penske in the second race of the non-championship weekend in Melbourne.

Coulthard won the race by two seconds ahead of team-mate Scott McLaughlin, who won the first race of the weekend.

Nissan Motorsport driver Michael Caruso claimed the final podium spot in third, with Garry Roger Motorsport’s Garth Tander coming home in fourth position.

Tekno Autosports driver Will Davison was the final driver into the top five, with former champion Mark Winterbottom finishing sixth in his Ford Falcon.

Championship leader Shane van Gisbergen had a tough race, retiring on the second lap after being struck by James Moffat who also retired from the race. Van Gisbergen spun after contact with Prodrive Racing Australia driver Chaz Mostert, with Moffat being unable to avoid the stationary Holden.

Mostert was given a drive-through penalty for the clash, dropping him to 19th position.
