Plato wins shortened race 3

Jason Plato has won the third of today’s three Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship rounds at the Brands Hatch circuit in Kent. Plato (Oxford), driving a SEAT Leon, overtook Rob Collard’s Team RAC MG and Tom Chilton’s Vauxhall Astra to cruise to victory.

But officials ended the race four laps early after reigning Champion Matt Neal (Droitwich) crashed his Team Halfords Honda Integra in a collision with Collard as they fought for second place.

Collard (Hook, Hants) has provisionally been classified second and his team-mate Colin Turkington (Portadown) third.
