Gold Coast 600 driver pairings announced

The driver pairings for this year’s Gold Coast 600 event at Surfers Paradise has been confirmed, with the international guest drivers mainly joining the No.2 driver in each team.

SuperStars regulars Gianni Morbidelli & Fabrizio Giovanardi will drive for Triple F & Fair Dinkum Sheds Racing respectively, pairing up with drivers Dean Fiore & Karl Reindler.

Chevrolet WTCC drivers Alain Menu & Yvan Muller are also taking part; Menu will race with Jason Bright in the No.14 Brad Jones Racing car, whilst Yvan Muller will pair up with New Zealander Greg Murphy in the No.51 Castrol Racing Commodore.

Other international drivers from the Indycar Series now know their co-drivers also, with Franchitti paired up with Steven Richards in the No.17 Jim Beam Racing entry, Ryan Briscoe with Will Davison at HRT, and Will Power with Steven Richards at Ford Performance Racing.

The race takes place on the weekend of the 24th October, just one week before the World Touring Car Championship resumes in Japan.
