Phil Glew at Brands Hatch with Team Aon [updated]

Phil Glew is present at Brands Hatch today and was set to test for Team Aon. Speculation put him on the top spot for a third Ford Focus in the British Touring Car Championship this season.

Glew took part for two teams in the BTCC last seaon. The 2009 Renault Clio Cup champion started the season for Triple Eight in the first races at Thruxton.

He returned at Silverstone later in the season, driving a second SEAT León for Special Tuning UK.

If Glew joins Team Aon this season he is going to be team mate with Tom Chilton and another yet to be revealed driver, with Andy Neate having tested recently for the team in the frame.

Update:
Glew was earlier reported to be scheduled to take part in the afternoon session with Arena’s 2010 specification Ford Focus ST, but this eventually didn’t take place.

Tom Chilton was able to do some development with the team’s 2011 specification Focus, which is based on the new Mk.III road model.
