Lea Wood confirmed for Jack Sears Trophy in Vauxhall Vectra

Lea Wood has confirmed entry in the 2013 British Touring Car Championship with an S2000 specification Vauxhall Vectra for the Jack Sears Trophy.
“In the long run it worked out better for us to run the Vectra. It’s fantastic to have enough loyal sponsors to run again,” said Wood to btcc.net.

The 28-year-old raced a Vauxhall last year to finish 14th overall and 10th in the independents’ trophy. For this year, Wood is aiming to win.
“We were only going to do it if we could do it properly – I know the car and the circuits inside out so we’re aiming to win the trophy,” said Wood.

Wood, racing for Wheel Heaven/Houseman Racing, will complete his first test of the year tomorrow at the annual BTCC Media Day at Brands Hatch.
