Matt Neal racing at Silverstone, but no Kaye or Nye
Honda Racing Team’s Matt Neal is competing at Silverstone this weekend, despite breaking a finger in a martial arts training session earlier this week.
The triple champion has been given medical clearance to take part in the event, following an examination of the broken middle digit on his right hand.
The weekend is missing two competitors in the Jack Sears Trophy, meaning the class is down to two cars.
Welch Motorsport’s David Nye is sitting the weekend out, and his S2000 Ford Focus is now up for sale.
AmD Tuning are also missing again, but team boss Shaun Hollamby has confirmed he will be returning to the series behind the wheel of the team’s Volkswagen Golf, at the season finale at Brands Hatch.
The withdrawals mean champion Lea Wood, in the JWT Performance Vauxhall Vectra, and Motorbase Performance’s Liam Griffin are the only S2000 competitors this weekend.
