Two penalties for Jason Plato after Oulton Park action

A total of six penalties were handed out for driving and technical indiscretions after the race weekend at Oulton Park, including two potentially significant strikes for Jason Plato.

In race one, Team BMR’s Plato was given a £500 fine and three penalty points for an incident with Eurotech Racing’s Daniel Lloyd. He was also given a reprimand after qualifying for leaving the track and not rejoining safely.

This puts Plato onto two strikes for the year, leaving him one away from a grid penalty.

Also in race one, Eurotech Racing’s Jeff Smith was given a reprimand and two penalty points for an incident with West Surrey Racing’s Rob Collard at the hairpin.

Smith’s team-mate Martin Depper was given a verbal warning for an incident with Handy Motorsport’s Rob Austin, while Team BMR were fined £500 for having their tyre trollies on the grid after the allotted timed.

In race two, Austin was given a reprimand and two penalty points for an incident with Team Hard’s Jake Hill at the hairpin.

There were no penalties handed out for any of the incidents in race three.
