Roberto Colciago dominates TCR Italy at Magione

Roberto Colciago once again dominated TCR Italy at Magione. The AGS driver took both pole positions in his Honda Civic, and continued his stunning performance by claiming both wins on race day.

At the start of the first race Colciago kept the lead and never looked back, whereas TCR Italy newcomer Massimiliano Gagliano took an unexpected second in the Esse Motorsport SEAT after Alberto Viberti went wide on lap 17, slipping down to fifth. Romy Dall’Antonia completed the podium in the BF Racing SEAT, while Alberto Biraghi completed a consistent race in fourth after a good defense from BRC Racing team-mate Viberti.

Colciago encored in the second race, once again keeping the lead at the start. Behind him Viberti managed to pass Pit Lane’s Enrico Bettera, the two finishing in the order. TV presenter Jimmy Ghione jumped up to fourth at the start in the BRC Racing SEAT, defending the position from Gagliano all race long as the two completed the top five.

Alberto Bassi won both races in the TCS category at the wheel of a SEAT León Cupra Wagon. Colciago now holds a remarkable 52-point advantage over Viberti, the former STCC champion only failing to win once at Misano in Race 2.

TCR Italy will resume at Mugello in two weeks.
