Aiden Moffat evaluating options after Subaru test

Aiden Moffat says he is evaluating his options for the 2017 season after sampling Team BMR’s race-winning Subaru Levorg GT during testing at Donington Park.

The Laser Tools Racing driver, who has just completed his third full-season in the BTCC, joined BMR team boss Warren Scott and regular driver James Cole for the test, which saw the Subaru squad become the latest outfit to hit the track following the conclusion of the 2016 campaign at Brands Hatch earlier this month.

Moffat’s outing in the car is the first step in an ongoing process to determine his racing programme for next year with his Laser Tools Racing squad, with outings in both GT3 and GT4 spec sportscars also due to take place in the near future.

“I enjoyed testing the RWD BTCC Subaru today, which has caused a frenzy of stories to circulate on the internet,” he said. “Don’t worry Laser Tools Racing fans. We are only assessing car options for Laser Tools Racing, and me and the team are really looking forward to 2017.”

Aside from BMR, recent weeks have seen Team HARD hit the track at Snetterton with Ginetta Supercup runner-up Will Burns and club racer Martin James, whilst MINI Challenge driver Rob Smith and former Team HARD driver Chris Smiley have both sampled Power Maxed Racing’s Chevrolet Cruze.
