Rafaël Galiana joins WestCoast Racing for Zhejiang

Rafaël Galiana will make his TCR International Series return next weekend with the WestCoast Racing team at the Zhejiang circuit in China, taking over the team’s second Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR alongside Gianni Morbidelli.

The Frenchman, and owner of the Tecpro safety barrier firm, has driven in the TCR International Series seven times before, competing with both WestCoast Racing and Target Competition late last year in a Honda Civic and later a SEAT León, but has never so far raced the Golf.

“I’m very happy to drive again in the TCR International Series, especially at Zhejiang, because it is an interesting new circuit,” said Galiani. “Every year I would like to do more races, but I’m always very busy. I have just delivered a new Grade 1 racetrack in Kuwait that should be inaugurated by the middle of 2018 and now I am working on a few karting circuits in China.”
