TCR UK racers hit the track for Silverstone test

A number of drivers have taken to the track at Silverstone as preparations continue for the inaugural season of competition for the new TCR UK Series.

The Northamptonshire circuit had been due to host a media day ahead of the opening rounds of the campaign later this month before the decision was taken to delay the event – partly due to a clash with the Geneva Motorshow and also at the request of a number of potential entrants.

Several teams and drivers still took the chance to head for Silverstone to test however, with Lewis Kent using the day to showcase the livery he will run on his Hyundai i30 N TCR.

Finlay Crocker was also on track at the wheel of his new Honda Civic Type R FK8 TCR whilst there were a number of older-spec Civics on hand – with Ollie Taylor and former BTCC driver Josh Price both in action.

The Sean Walkinshaw Racing Honda and the SEATs of Stewart Lines and Carl Swift have also turned laps in mixed weather conditions.
