Triple TCR programme for Petr Fulín

Czech driver Petr Fulín has announced plans to race a Cupra TCR in three series during the year ahead.

Fulín will compete in a number of events in the TCR Germany series, and also compete at the TCR Europe finale in Barcelona.

Subject to an entry, the three-time ETCC title winner will also join the WTCR grid at the Nordschleife in the Cupra – which will be run by the Vekra Racing Team under the licence of the Fulín Race Academy.

“It‘s great to have the opportunity to race with the new Cupra TCR,” he said. “We want to run it in a wide-range of TCR Series. We will start with a couple of rounds of TCR Germany, at Oschersleben and Most, our home racetrack.

“Afterwards, we have planned to take part in the WTCR event at the Nürburgring and we are waiting for the confirmation that our entry will be accepted. We will finish the season in the TCR Europe series’ finale at Barcelona.”

Aleš Novák, head of SEAT Czech Republic, expressed pleasure at extending the successful relationship with Fulín into another season.

“We are really happy that, after three successful seasons, we can continue working with Petr Fulín to promote our brand in Touring Car competition and introduce the new Cupra TCR, he said, “and because the TCR Germany series will visit Most, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to be on the grid.”
