Team Dynamics win appeal, Cammish reinstated as Race 1 winner

Dan Cammish has been re-instated as winner of the opening BTCC race of the weekend at Brands Hatch after Team Dynamics won an appeal into the penalty he was handed by stewards.

Cammish had crossed the line first in the race in a Honda 1-2 ahead of team-mate Matt Neal, although the victory was pending an investigation into a potential false start.

Officials took the decision to hand Cammish a 30 second time penalty after the race for a false start, with Dynamics immediately launching an appeal.

That appeal has now been upheld by stewards, with Cammish re-instated into the results – confirming him as winner of the 28th round of the season.
