17 cars entered for the TCR Italy championship season opener

17 cars have been entered for the first round of the 2019 TCR Italy championship season that starts this weekend at Monza.

The list includes reigning champion Salvatore Tavano, driving for the Scuderia del Girasole team in a Cupra TCR, with Matteo Greco as team-mate.

Matteo Greco, who finished third last year, will be back for Scuderia del Girasole, also driving a Cupra TCR.

Non-Italian entries to the series include Russian drivers Lev Tolkacheev, Honda Civic, and Klim Gavrilov, Audi RS 3 LMS, as well as four Austrian drivers in the form of Felix Wimmer, Cupra TCR, Peter Gross, Cupra TCR, Gunter Benninger, Cupra TCR, and Christian Voithofer, Cupra TCR.

A total of six brands are represented on the grid, including Alfa Romeo, Audi, Cupra, Honda, Hyundai and Opel.

The season opener starts with qualifying on Friday April 5th at 18:00 CET.
