Lilou Wadoux to miss Race 2 at Spa following final lap crash

Lilou Wadoux will take no further part in this weekend’s TCR Europe meeting at Spa-Francorchamps following her barrel-roll retirement at the end of the first race.

The French teenager collided with the Cupra of Abdulla Ali Al-Khelaifi on the final lap of Race 1, after which her JSB Compétition Peugeot 308TCR flipped over four times in the gravel trap at Stavelot before coming to a rest.

It is understood that Wadoux was taken to Verviers hospital for precautionary checks, while team owner Julien Briché confirming that she will miss Sunday’s second race.

“I spoke to Lilou after the crash, so she is okay. But she will not make it out for the race tomorrow.”
