Matt Stone Racing acquire REC from Garry Rogers Motorsport

Matt Stone Racing has bough one of Garry Roger Motorsport’s two Racing Entitlements Contracts (REC) and will field two cars in the 2020 Supercars Championship season.

“We’ve purchased a REC from GRM, as well as the one from the Kellys,” said team owner Matt Stone to Supercars.com.

“Earlier in the year, all that speculation about us exiting the sport was us doing an analysis of where we see the sport and our future. Once we realised that we have faith in Supercars going forward, we have committed for an indefinite amount of years.”

The team bought the first REC from Kelly Racing, as the former Nissan team reduce their entry for 2020 from four to two.

Matt Stone Racing is yet to confirm drivers for their 2020 campaign.
