Pepe Oriola taken to hospital after Jarama crash

Brutal Fish driver Pepe Oriola has been taken to hospital for further checks after his Race 1 crash at Jarama, where Target Competition’s Jessica Bäckman hit the Spaniard’s car sideways.

Bäckman (Hyundai i30 N TCR) went off the track on lap two, collecting Oriola’s Honda Civic Type R FK7 TCR from the rear right side.

Oriola briefly lost consciousness after the impact, and was complaining of pain in his ribcage after stepping down from his car.

The circuit’s medical officer referred Oriola for further checks and exploration.
