Jean-Karl Vernay clinches Super Final B pole position at Motorland Aragón
Hyundai Motorsport N driver Jean-Karl Vernay recovered from his Pool B technical woes to claim the pole position for Sunday’s PURE ETCR Super Final B at Motorland Aragón.
Mattias Ekström was first out to complete a lap of 1:59.638 at the wheel of his Cupra e-Racer of Zengo Motorsport X Cupra.
Next on the track was Luca Filippi with the of Romeo Ferraris, lapping the Spanish circuit in 1:59.250.
John Filippi was the third driver to take to the track with his Hyundai Veloster N ETCR, setting a lap time of 2:01.084, 1.834 seconds off the pace.
Vernay was next up the repaired Hyundai Veloster N ETCR to steal the top spot with a lap time of 1:59.196, beating Filippi’s lap time by 0.054 seconds.
Romeo Ferraris M1RA’s Oliver Webb took his turn at the wheel of the Alfa Romeo Giulia, completing his flying lap in 1:59.975, 0.725 seconds from Vernay into third place.
Daniel Nagy was the last driver to take to the track, completing his flying lap in 2:00.343 to qualify in fifth place, 1.147 seconds from pole.
The Super Final B is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 16:00 CEST.
