No further action on incident between Augusto Farfus and Mikel Azcona

The stewards have decided that no further action will be taken regarding the incident between Augusto Farfus (Hyundai Veloster N ETCR) and Mikel Azcona (Cupra e-Racer) in the PURE ETCR Super Final A at MotorLand Aragon on Sunday.

Both drivers had fought for the lead of the race until lap four when they made contact, resulting in a retirement for Azcona.

The stewards have classified the issue as a racing incident and deemed that no further action should be taken.

Stefano Coletti was investigated for overtaking Zengo Motorsport X Cupra’s Jordi Gené under waving yellow flags from the aforementioned incident, with Coletti then colliding with Gené and spinning out of the race.

The stewards found Coletti responsible for both the overtaking and the incident, excluding the driver from the Super Final A results, with the Monegasque also losing the ten points scored.
