Senna Proctor heads Honda train in qualifying

Senna Proctor led a Honda lock-out of the front two rows of the grid after snaring pole for the final rounds of the BTCC season at Brands Hatch.

Proctor’s best time of 1:30.237s came in the later stages of the session as he beat BTC Racing team-mate Josh Cook to top spot in the session, with Cook therefore missing out on the bonus point for pole – although he still retains his slim championship hopes.

Cook had topped the times for a large part of the session before being forced to settle for second spot, with Team Dynamics pair Dan Rowbottom and Gordon Shedden – who had topped the two practice sessions – following behind to fill out row two.

Dan Lloyd continued his impressive form in the Power Maxed Racing Vauxhall with the fifth best time ahead of Ash Sutton, who qualified ahead of the remaining championship contenders despite the ballast on his car – and has Aiden Moffat directly behind on the grid to act as a rear-gunner.

Colin Turkington, Stephen Jelley and Tom Chilton then rounded out the top ten, with title contenders Jake Hill and Tom Ingram 11th and 13th going into race one.
