CRM Motorsport expands 2022 entry to two Hyundais

CRM Motorsport has confirmed that it will expand its TCR Italy programme for the 2022 season, entering two Hyundai i30 N TCRs for drivers Ettore Carminati and Michele Imberti.

Carminati took part in four rounds of the 2021 season with a ninth place finish Imola as his best result, acting as both team manager and driver.

“We are both happy and positive,” said Carminati.

“Michele did well last year, I was a bit more unlucky. I am confident that we can both do better this year and we have also expanded the team with an additional engineer, so the conditions are there.”

Imberti raced a Cupra for Élite Motorsport last year, finishing seventh overall with two podium finishes.

“It is difficult to make predictions, or set goals, it will also depend on the competition and we will be able to understand better only after the first race,” said Carminati.

“But we would like bring Michele back to the podium with Hyundai and I would like to return to the top ten at the end of the year, as I did in 2020.”
