Maxime Martin wins Pool Fast final at the Hungaroring

Maxime Martin drove his Romeo Ferraris-prepared Giulia ETCR to victory in the Pool Fast super final at the Hungaroring.

Hyundai Motorsport N’s Mikel Azcona started from the pole position, but was passed by Martin and Giovanni Venturini, as well as the Cupra e-Racers of Mattias Ekström and Jordi Gené at the start.

Azcona later overtook Gené for fourth place, with the Cupra EKS driver also losing out to Hyundai Motorsport N’s Kevin Ceccon.

Ekström closed the gap to leading driver Martin, but was unable to get past. The Belgian won the race ahead of the Swede, with Romeo Ferraris’ Venturini in third.

Azcona was fourth ahead of Ceccon and Gené.

The Pool Furious super final kicks off at 18:30 CEST.
