Giovanni Veturini stripped of qualifying lap time

Romeo Ferraris’ Giovanni Venturini has had his Pool Furious qualifying 2 lap time deleted because of a rule infraction.

The stewards found that Venturi’s Giulia ETCR wasn’t ready to start the session at the allocated time, despite this time having been communicated beforehand by the race director.

Venturini was found to be in breach of Article 12.4.1. e) of the 2022 FIA International Sporting Code, with the Italian stripped of his qualifying 2 lap time.

The decision has no consequence for the Italian’s grid position for the Pool Furious quarter final, as he had finished the session sixth and last.
