Adrien Tambay wins Pool Fast final at Zolder

Cupra EKS driver Adrien Tambay claimed a comfortable victory in the FIA ETCR Pool Fast super final at Zolder ahead of team-mate Tom Blomqvist.

Tambay got ahead at the start with Blomqvist right behind. Hyundai Motorsport N’s Norbert Michelisz overtook Romeo Ferraris’ Bruno Spengler to climb up to third.

Romeo Ferraris’ Giovanni Venturni dropped to fifth place, with Hyundai driver Jean-Karl Vernay in sixth position.

The Frenchman made the most of his power-up to recover during the second lap, overtaking Venturini and Spengler to sit in fourth position. Vernay also overtook team-mate Norbert Michelisz for third place on lap three.

Tambay took the chequered flag first ahead of Blomqvist and Vernay who completed the podium.

Michelisz was fourth, with Venturni overtaking Spengler on the last lap for fifth place.

The Pool Furious super final is scheduled for 18:00 CEST.
