Jake Hill keen to maintain title challenge

Jake Hill says his focus at Silverstone is on ensuring that he is ‘in the place possible’ when the penultimate weekend of the BTCC season draws to a close.

Hill has enjoyed a strong season to date in his WSR-run BMW, with two wins amongst nine podium finishes that have allowed him to earn a place inside the top four in the standings.

Last season, Hill was able to score victory at Silverstone in the final race of the weekend, and repeat this time around would go some way towards helping the youngster stay in contention towards the sharp end.

“Our form since the summer break has been really strong, and we’ve picked up some good points which in turn, has put us in the position to fight for this championship,” he said. “This weekend at Silverstone is really important, we want to be heading to the Brands Hatch finale in the best possible position to take the title and need a good points haul this weekend if we are to do that.

“I always love coming to Silverstone, whether it’s watching or racing, and to be heading here in a BTCC championship fight makes it even more special. I can’t wait to get underway!”
