Nicky Catsburg fined after Pool Fast semi final start delay

Hyundai Motorsport N driver Nicky Catsburg has been fined after the stewards found him responsible for delaying the start procedure in Sunday morning’s Pool Fast semi final 2.

Before the pit lane opened, it was detected that the wrong tyres had been fitted to Catsburg’s Hyundai Veloster N ETCR, with the team declaring those were the tyres given by the series’ supplier (Goodyear).

The race director then allowed two extra minutes, delaying the start procedure, for the team to change Catsburg’s tyres.

The stewards found the team responsible for not ensuring that the right tyres were fitted in the time frame provided, thus fining Catsburg with 500 EUR.
