Adam Shepherd inks late deal for TCR UK return

Adam Shepherd will return to the TCR UK grid for 2023 after inking a late deal to stick with Area Motorsport.

Shepherd joined the team mid-way through the 2022 season after starting the campaign with Jamsport, and picked up a maiden race win at Donington Park at the wheel of his Hyundai i30 N TCR.

A deal has now been struck that will see Shepherd join the grid for the Snetterton season opener, with work ongoing to ensure he can contest the full campaign and launch a bid for the title.

“We’re delighted to be able to start the 2023 TCR UK season and build on last year,” he said. “We had a mixed 2022 with a few issues but showed great pace taking many podiums, a race win, and a lap record.

“We currently only have the budget for the first few rounds, but are looking to hit the ground running, push for wins, and work hard to secure more budget as we aim for the overall championship.”
