Felice Jelmini inherits win from Aurélien Comte in flurry of post-race penalties

Felice Jelmini has inherited the victory of TCR Italy Race 2 at Mugello from Aurélien Comte, as several drivers were hit with post-race penalties.

The French Cupra driver was handed a five-second penalty for overtaking cars beyond the track limits at the start.

The penalty drops him to third place as Jelmini inherits first and Rubén Fernandez second place.

Points leader Marco Butti was given a ten-second penalty for jumping the start, demoting him from fifth to tenth.

Niels Langeveld was hit with a 25-second penalty for contact with Franco Girolami, dropping the Dutch driver from sixth to 25th place.

Girolami received a two-place grid penalty to the next race for contact with Langeveld, a penalty also handed to Michele Imberti for causing an accident at the start.
