Mauger Motorsport announces plans for TCR UK debut

Mauger Motorsport is planning to make its TCR UK debut this season and field a CUPRA TCR in the Gen 1 Cup.

“We’re a small team, however, that’s not stopped us from talking part at various levels of the ladder in UK Club Motorsport. After testing the CUPRA TCR, I decided the next step up was to be in TCR UK this year,” said team owner Simon Mauger, who raced in BRSCC SuperSport Trophy last year.

“I’ve watched TCR UK grow in recent seasons and with the introduction of the Gen 1 Cup, it’s the ideal time to bring my team to the championship.”

The team is yet to secure a driver for its programme.

“We hope to help either a young driver on their way up the touring car ladder or to run customers who are looking to make a successful debut in TCR UK,” said Simon.
